Excellent paint thickness and durability Quiet and smooth
...More
I just completed this door project today and wanted to review it straight away.
Hinges came with the correct amount of black screws. Everything looks of good quality so no problems with the doors opening or shutting. I used the 6 inch version. Once the doors were mounted only a small amount of sanding was required to get the right fit.
For extra strength, I decided to use pre-coated, self-drilling deck screws to mount each hinge. Touched up with black paint to match.

Screws for this product are subpar Quiet and smooth
...More
The screws that are supplied for this item are subpar. They are 1" in length and are narrow. It's very discouraging because I had to go out and buy the proper length, at least 2 1/2" and a thicker screw.
I'm installing a heavy duty product that should could be used on a barn gate. How much weight and how many times of swinging a gate could possibly withstand the subpars screws that are supplied with this product.
I'm very disappointed.

Medium duty hinges at best Quiet and smooth
...More
These were half the cost of very similar hinges I have used. Metal thickness about the same but play in the pin significantly looser. Used four to support a 120# hardwood door. Had to upgrade all screws. They worked OK but would pick heavier hinges the next time.

Poorly Packaged, Damaged and Defective Quiet and smooth

Order 2 packages. They were poorly package so all were scratched and about 50% of each package was physically damage or defective. I.e. bent, paint chipped, paint not fully applied and rusting.

These are quality hinges that feel very durable. They swing freely without catching, and has a nice coating. They come with the screws needed and are packaged nicely.

Works for a chicken coop. Quiet and smooth
...More
A nice set of hinges for the price point. I usually end up at farm stores paying way too much for the galvanized type. Set seems well made and with a decent coating. (did try and scratch one). Not sure of the long term outdoor affects yet but put them on the chicken coop door. Could easily be used on gates or barn doors as well. Comes with fasteners but if they are going to be heavy duty use I would upgrade them to longer heavier screws. Appearance is pretty plain but nothing bad stands out. The all hinge freely without binding. If you need six hinges go for it.

Heavy enough for a good size door or gate. Plastic bushings and pin not removable Quiet and smooth
...More
These are nice, attractive hinges, the paint looks good, and they will handle a good size door, but I would not recommend using them on something very heavy. They are certainly not the quality of good brass door hinges. The pin is not removable, so taking the door or gate off will require removing the screws. There also appears to be a plastic bushing between the hinge sections. While this gives the hinge a very smooth action, I suspect a lot of heavy usage will cause the bushings to wear fairly rapidly resulting in a very loose hinge. No way of knowing how the plastic will handle heat, cold, and sunlight in an outdoor environment. For indoor applications and lightweight doors they should be fine. The screws provided are not very long or robust. They are inadequate for attaching a hinge through something like a 1/2 inch sheet of plywood into a two by four frame. It would appear that the beveled hinge screw holes would accommodate a slightly larger screw and certainly a longer one.

Terrible Screws Quiet and smooth
...More
The hinge itself appears well made, the size if just what I needed and it holds a heavy wood gate well. The screws were a nightmare... I had more than 3 break on me or completely strip out (even with predrilling the holes). Several just sheared right off after I screwed them into the post, so I had to work around them with some proper wood screws(the smaller gray ones in the photos). The holes are fairly large on the hinges, so your regular wood screw heads aren't big enough. I really can't understand how there are so many products out there that totally drop the ball when it comes to the screws that come with hardware! It's very frustrating to have to find "real" screws that will fit and actually do the job that the screws that came with the hinges should be doing. That said, if you are willing to pay extra for decent screws the hinge itself works fine.

Good quality hinges Quiet and smooth

These are well made heavy hinges. They are attractive, black-powder coated, with countersunk holes. They are easy to install and come with the necessary installation hardware.
