Screws are under sized and so are the pins, I built some shed doors that weigh approximately 45lbs. a piece and the top hinges are starting to bend outwards and I used 3 hinges per door so I would not buy again

Hinges are OK, but I wouldn't use these screws for ANYTHING. About 3/4 inch, useless

Heavy duty Quiet and smooth

I used these hinges with the shed I'm building. They are heavy duty and were easy to install. I purchased separate hardware for the installation. I was able to buy the hinges, door handles, and closure all at the same time.

Durable so far. Quiet and smooth

I used them for my chicken house I built. 3 on the right side for the nesting box lid and one for the front door flap. I was worried the screws would be too short to hold but they’ve held up so far. Heavy/seems durable enough to last awhile in the Texas heat/sun.

Good hinges, poor screws Quiet and smooth

The hinges seem to be good quality. The screws are faulty. The heads of several of the screws sheered off during installation. One screw didn't even have slots for the screw driver. But the hinges appear to be worth the money.

Plastic spacers, yes, but still a good deal for the money. Quiet and smooth

Set of (4) 8 inch hinges.
Ultimately, I'm happy with these hinges, warts and all. They’re not my idea of heavy duty, but they’re not too bad either. They've been a cost efficient way to get several gates up quickly on my property this season.
I was surprised, and a little let down, to see plastic spacers built into the barrel of the hinge. They only take up about 1/8th inch (4mm). Maybe it was to save some money in manufacturing, maybe it's to protect the powder coating where the two parts of the hinge would rub together. Whatever the reason, I see that plastic and can only wonder how long till the plastic wears out? After all, it was soft enough I could carve it out with a utility knife (photo), so I imagine it won't last many seasons out in the elements.
That being said, the plastic spacers make the action of each hinge smooth and silent. I imagine the hinge might remain silent until the plastic has completely worn away. After that it’s metal on metal like other hinges, and the gate would’ve sunken a tiny amount, like 1/8th inch (4mm). It might also sag horribly. I don’t know. Not really a big deal to me, but I hesitate to call it "heavy duty."
Since I cut enough of a plastic spacer away to see, the pin appeared to be powder coated inside the barrel. The metal of the hinges is about 3/32nds of an inch (2mm) thick, including the powder coat (photo). Each hinge came with a pack of 8 screws (photo), but they seem a little small for the holes in the hinge (photo). the screws can take a #2 square or a #2 Phillips driver bit. It's really easy to strip the Phillips head, so use care if you go that route.

Heavy Duty Hinges! Quiet and smooth

(12 Inch) I got these for a 10ft gate I need to add. They are definitely big. I have a lot of experience with gate hinges. For a non-ball bearing hinge, they are well built, and I expect them to last a long time.

Great value!

(See ratings explanation below the review)
Got these for my back gate repair project. Nothing exciting about it....until I compared the prices of equivalent hinges at a couple of local big box hardware stores! These are 1/4 of the price!!! They seem to be sturdy. They are 3mm thick... same as the 30 year old galvanized hinges on the gate now. We'll see how rust proof the powder coating is but based on appearance only, they seem fine.
Did I mention they are 1/4 the cost of what's available locally?
4 stars for great value.
My ratings system:
5 stars...... I'm blown away by quality & value... a must buy! (I rarely give this)
4 stars..... Pleasantly surprised, better than expected
3 stars..... as advertised, got what I expected, any pros/cons balanced
2 stars..... a little disappointed, I had hoped for better
1 star ..... avoid, waste of time and money, junk (I rarely give this)
