4″–12″ Heavy Duty Gate T Hinges

Hinges seem great, big and heavy. The screws that come with these hinges are a joke. Very cheap, very lightweight, way too small, Phillips heads stripped.

So Hurrian Sally took out my fence and I built one out of the pieces of fence I gathered after she did her damage.
I had two gates that were each six feet wide before. They were long gone and I built a new gate in my patchwork fence out of a smaller piece.
Got these so I can redo the drive in feature of the back yard. They are plenty strong and long for the job.

I got these to install on a tool shed I built for my son's house. These are bigger than I expected and a very heavy gauge metal. They are nicely powder coated in black and carry the weight of the heavy wooden doors with ease.

These strong hinges would work great on any barn door, gate, or heavy door for which you need some extra-strength hinges! It comes with everything except the drill! Painted steel.

Will be a spring project when I can get back outside to finish fence gate. These are comparable to hinges sold in local hardware chains. Powder coated finish should hold up in weather.

I appreciate that these hinges are made out of steel, making it so I can weld them or to them if necessary. If you don't need to weld, they still have screw holes for securing to wood or another surface. The price was a bit on the steep side for me, but hey, I'm not your financial advisor. Honestly, if you need a steel hinge this one looks good, it works well, and that's about all I can possibly say about a hinge without being too weird.

MY APPLICATION: Replacement hinges on my front fence gate.

PROS: These have weight to them and I was surprised how much they feel rugged and durable. Easy to install with the supplied screws.

CONS: None.

These Hinges are legit! They are heavy duty in every sense of the word! I'm pretty super impressed with these. These seem every bit as good as the typical options available at the big box hardware stores. Use them to hang gates, or fence doors, storage bench covers, or any multitude of projects that need a heavy duty hinge. My order came with each hinge individually wrapped, which definitely helps protect the paint from chipping. Rugged hinge, and a great choice!

These are great hinges made of sturdy heavy metal with an anti-oxidizing black powder finish. The provided screws (8 per hinge) are black to match the hinges, and long enough to provide a strong attachment without protruding from the back of standard 2x lumber. The holes to attach the hinge have a counterbore to match the countersink heads of the screws for flush installation, and are slightly offset from each other to provide extra stability - I don't expect these to wobble even after extended use. They are rated for 45+ lbs per hinge so the use of 3 on a door should hold up at least 135 lbs. If you have a higher load requirement, they also make 10 inch hinges. Am very happy with these so far and expect them to last longer than I do.
