We needed to upgrade our poorly made double gate so it was in better shape for hurricane season. We did use 6 hinges despite most people preferring 4 for a double gate, given the purpose of our upgrade (we’ve reinforced our gate with additional 2x4s making it heavier than most). I used these to hang doors on the chicken shed. The door is framed and has T111 siding on it. It probably weighs in at 40 pounds and two hinges are holding it just fine. I’m happy with the purchase and i would buy them again. Quiet and smooth.

These hinges were quite heavy duty and supported my 4 foot doors which were quite heavy very effectively. No sagging or slop. I used 3 inch lag bolts rather than the supplied screws. Quiet and smooth.
