3.5" Heavy Duty Square-Plate T Hinges

These hinges are well made. I welded these to a steel tube gate 10' x 12'. I made a mistake on one and had to remove it. I destroyed it in the process and found the hinge pin only goes part was through on top and bottom. Still a nice hinge with thick powder coating finish. I welded three hinges on 5 gates. I rode one of them for testing and had no failures. I weigh 270lbs. I can recommend. Quiet and smooth.

The hinges seem fine, but the screws are much too small (3/4" long) to use for a gate of any size. Another trip to the hardware store to find the correct screws and paint them to match. Quiet and smooth.

Just like other reviewers say he screws seem to be just drywall screws, which will clean finish, corrosion-resistant and aren't very strong. The price is good for the hinges, but you should replace the screws with better ones.

Hinges is holding up so far after 6 months in Pac NW weather. Original screws were trash (weak, short, stripped easily, and clean finish, corrosion-resistant within a week). I'd suggest using your own screws.

These are Heavy Duty Brackets but the supplied 1/2 inch long screws are useless. The bracket is 1/8 inch thick and the lead point of the screw is just less than 1/8 inch. This leaves roughly 1/4 inch of gripping engagement to the attachment material. Taking into consideration the spiral of this screw size and the 1/4 inch, these cannot work. You need 1 inch long screw at the minimum. I would recommend 1 1/2 inch min. I used 2 1/2 inch long through 1/2 t-11 with a 2x4 backing frame. The shed wall and frame was the same. These brackets are solid. Quiet and smooth.

Used on a large wooden outside door, holding up like a charm. Quiet and smooth.
