2″–5″ Light Duty T Hinges

Hinge was very difficult to open. Would not buy again

It’s not strong enough for my pasture gate, but I might use it for a light weight door like the chicken coop or garden gate. It would also be good for the barn windows.

These hinges have a lot of play in them. They are very loose and will make it nearly impossible to keep tight tolerances when used on doors.

I bought hinges elsewhere , but they rusted quick , it only rained 5 times all summer. So I ordered from
amazon to get these heavy duty , rust free hinges.

These hinges are really nice. So why do they ruin the experience by providing such awful screws? Hint: when you receive these hinges immediately toss out the screws and use some American made, non-phillips head, heavy duty screws that won’t fail.

Received these hinges yesterday, and, let me tell you, they are heavy and strong. I have installed four of them with two more to install today. They are attached to my barn/shed doors that weigh in the neighborhood of 75 pounds each. Over the last 30 years, the doors have sagged and the original hinges no longer worked. These hinges are a great replacement. I will have to make a couple of small modifications to the doors in order to install the lower hinges. I am expecting these will outlast me, so no worries in terms of future.

Three on each side of my shed doors are holding up really well. If you build your doors correctly, these hinges will last forever.

Although these hinges look good, I found the ones I received would not become easy to move even after working them 10 times. Perhaps I got a defective pair?

Good hinges but screws are way too small, go buy some # 10 screws.

Ended up not using these on a gate I built. However, they are good quality. Good paint. Feel solid and operate as they should. I kept them for the next project.
