4″–12″ Heavy Duty Gate T Hinges

The screws are cheap. Predrilled the holes and snapped 4 of the first 6 screws before they where tight.

The quality of the screws was too poor. They broke when installed into the wood. I had to go to the store to buy new screws to install them. I don’t know how the hinge will fare after use.

I have a total of 9 gates to build and hang on my new fence and these hinges work really well. My biggest gate is 8 foot, built from wood, and only needs 2 hinges. They are very strong, and smooth. The tiny screws that come with the hinges are way to small for my project and I through bolt everything with 1/4 inch hardware. You can't beat the price I looked everywhere. I have installed a total of 12 hinges so far on 6 different gates, and will be ordering one more package of 6 to finish my project. They look great, very nice quality. I highly recommend.

Comparable quality to hinges I purchased previously at hardware store. HOWEVER, for a fraction of the price! Other reviews are correct... the screws included are cheap. Pre-drill your holes and do not use a power tool to install or they WILL break off. NOTE: you don't get a second chance to install a hinge screw unless you dig the old one out or move the hinge location. Worth spending a few dimes to get quality screws.

I bought 6 pairs of these hinges in order to hang two heavy shed doors; I installed 5 on each door, reserving a pair for backup. The hinge itself is robust and worked out great. I didn't even give the screws a consideration. There is no installation where the supplied screws would be appropriate for that hinge. I ended up at HD and spent an additional $25 for coated, black, #10x3/4 wood screws.

The hinges I got were 3". Theyare sturdy and so far not rusting. They add a nice little flare to my project.
