4″–12″ Heavy Duty Gate T Hinges

There were only 2 reviews that pointed this out and I did not see them on time. These hinges are NOT FOR OUTDOORS. They rust and leak bronze color stuff after a single episode of rain. I also made the mistake of installing more than 10 of these around a fancy chicken coop I was building. To paint you a picture, all my expensive eco-friendly white primed wood is now orange. Now, is going to be a bigger mission to replace them all and it will surely compromise the integrity of the woodwork. WORSE PRODUCT I'VE EVER BOUGHT ON AMAZON. there's no refund that can pay for this trouble.

I would not recommend these at all. After installing a dozen of these on an outdoor shed, and after the first rain a couple days later, they all began to rust. I'll be replacing all of these in short order.

Not heavy duty and has a lot of play in the hinge.

I would rate these as mid-duty and not heavy duty. They seem to “strain” a hit on a 45-50 pound gate and that is with three hinges installed on the gate. However, they look nice and are easy to install and you really can’t go wrong for the price. I would recommend adding 3 to 4 for a true “heavy duty” job. Note, ours did not come with screws for hanging them, but that was fine with us as we needed better screws than what normally comes with hinges we have ordered in the past.
