4″–12″ Heavy Duty Gate T Hinges

I used these for doors on my chicken coop, not nearly as sturdy as I thought they would be. They do wor.k.

There is an abundance of play in the hinge pin. 3 of them had over a 1/4” play which is an awful lot for a brand new hinge assembly. I held the jamb side (rectangle shape) and moved the door side (triangle) up and down with ease. I know it’s just Chinese product but the machined tolerances were pretty bad. They serve a purpose but don’t expect them to last very long or function smoothly. Once attached there is a lot, repeat, a lot of excessive movement. It almost feels the the screws are loose.

If I knew that it not too strong to hold my fence gate, I wouldn’t buy it.

I used these to replace my storm door hinges and am very happy with them.
The finish is awesome as well.

I bought the 6-inch hinges. Material is good, fit and finish is excellent but the screws included are just ridiculously under sized. They are tiny and about 1/2 inch long and probably are suitable for use for small boxes not with heavy doors or gates. I have to make a run to the local hardware store to get the appropriate screws for my project. They should have included better hardware and I will pay for it.

Buyer beware these ARE NOT heavy duty hinges. I used them on a 3' x 8' shed door and they already bent and the pins are loose. Should have just looked elsewhere.

Sturdy inexpensive hinges. They arrived on time and are a good thickness to hold your gate with confidence.

I won’t buy it again

I really don't know how to approach this. This is the sixth set of these I have purchased. So, obviously, I am okay with the hinges. But, let's get real about the screws! The supplied screws were little #6 X 3/4 inch screws like you would use on kitchen cabinet hinges - NOT heavy duty 10 inch barn style hinges. The heads did not quite fall through the holes in the hinges, but it would not have taken hardly any effort at all to pull them through. They should have been at least #12 X 1 1/4 inches. I don't know what they were thinking.
