Wow. These hinges are strong. I needed something that would extend a bit more than conventional hinges for the hatch door I am building for my crawl space to eliminate sag over time. I bought these hinges to use for a fold-out lumber rack for keeping odd pieces of wood organized and tucked away against the wall. There is a LOT of weight on this thing... and to be fair - I also added a springy gate caster on the other side to keep some weight off the hinges. But still, they're holding up amazingly well. If you need a spot to fold repeatedly over time, these are PERFECT! Unlike a wire or a piece of plastic, these hinges will fold over and over without breaking at the crease!! In all honesty, these work very well. They are indeed heavy duty. I used 6 hinges to hang double doors on my shop. The doors are 5 ft by 8 ft each. They are framed with 2x4s and covered with heavy sheet metal. These hinges work very well for heavy use applications. Quiet and smooth.
