3.5" Heavy Duty Square-Plate T Hinges

I wanted heavier duty hinges for my 3/4" plywood door (which is quite heavy, even though only 3' wide by 2' high). Because the door's so wide and not proportionally as high, there's going to be a bit more stress on the hinges. So I wanted good, heavy, hinges that could take the weight for years to come. These do not disappoint by appearance: made of heavy metal stock with a good heavy bearing pin. I got two 2packs, 4 hinges in all, since the door was heavier and I thought I'd better use 3 hinges. As it was it only took two to complete the job, these are so strong. Rather than return a pack (of 2) I gave it to our neighbor who also has an even larger door to his crawl space (3' by 3'). I thought he may need them some day as his door currently has similar rusty smaller hinges like mine that broke. I'm sure two will be enough even for his bigger heavy door. Quiet and smooth.

I am using these hinges to support a rather large outdoor gate that I built out of treated lumber. The gate probably weighs anywhere from 50 to 60 lbs, and it is about 5 ft wide. Despite all of the force being put on these hinges, they are able to handle it with no problem whatsoever. Quiet and smooth.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: My Keter plastic shed door hinges got brittle after almost 20 years. After trying various repair methods, I decided to just use metal hinges and install them by drilling straight through the door and sidewall. The doors swing easily now. Even better than the original.
