3.5" Heavy Duty Square-Plate T Hinges

This is a set of gate hinges that are large and sturdy. They include both short and long Phillips head screws for assembly. They are all powder coated black. They are good value for the money with the heavy metal. They had that stylish new black metal look. And they are very functional as a gate hinge. You just need to make sure all your corners are squared off well and you should be good to go. I got these for a lifting bed though. So I'm going to have a small part and then the rest of it will be able to hinge up. It will be carrying a large sheet of plywood mattress bedding and more. Everything I looked for as far as needs said that this one should work out just fine. I will know more once I do the build. Quiet and smooth.

I built an outhouse off of my hot tub deck because running inside at -30, through the snow, to use the loo got old after a one winter. I made the door out of 3/4 plywood and 1x scraps so it’s got some weight to it. I didn’t want to use the lightweight hinges that they had at the local hardware store, and the heavier duty ones that they had were HUGE! So, I came on here to look for something a more robust, but of reasonable size, and I didn’t want to break the bank. I came across these and thought I’d give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived in the mail. They are made of thick metal and are pretty heavy duty. They are not overly large. They have a very nice finish to them so not only do they look good, but it appears that they will hold up well over time. They provide a smooth open and close to my outhouse door. I think they are a great product for the price I paid. I would definitely buy again if the need arose. If my door looks a little wonky, it’s not because of the hinges. It’s because I’m a tiny 5’2 girl who built an outhouse and hung the door alone (with the help of her trusty side kick cat) Don’t blame the hinges, blame the builder. 😜 Quiet and smooth.

Hinges are strong and sturdy and have a nice appearance. They do no squeaks somewhat already. The included screws however are a joke. Picture compares black screws that came with the hinges vs a 2” deck screw. Overall a good product and would recommend but what the heck are they thinking with tiny screws ? Quiet operation.

If the screws were better, (longer , thicker) I’d give them a 5. The door is probably 125lbs. Four hinges work perfect. They seem strong and well made, especially for the price. Quiet operation.

Good fit - good size - look good - easy to install - perfect for my project

I like the look of these hinges on my new 6ft gate, and they fit perfectly on the 1 x 3 inch boards composing the gate. Incidentally, the metal of these hinges is .1 inch (2.54 mm) The screw holes are countersunk to accept flathead screws. I chose not to use the screws provided and instead used 2 inch exterior deck screws, and they fit fine. Each hinge weighs about ll.5 oz. (325g). Do I think they're "heavy duty?" Yeah, maybe ... for a homeowner like me. I'll say it's heavy duty homeowner grade. It's not heavy duty farm grade, or professional grade .... Not for anything serious. These hinges are perfect for this gate project of mine. Seems like a good product for a good price. Please note: In the picture you can see I used four hinges to mount my gate. Two of these hinges would be plenty strong enough to support my gate, one on the top and one on the bottom. I added the two in the middle to minimize the boards moving or warping over time where the gate meets the post. Quiet and smooth.

When they say these hinges are heavy duty they mean it. They are made of thick steel and the box of six is pretty heavy. They are made to hang heavy doors or small to medium size gates. As you can see in the pictures each one has 9 screw holes. Screws are included but I will probably use longer screws for more strength. Well made product that will last. Quiet and smooth.
