Was really really struggling to remove the pin. Finally had to put a hinge in my vice and very forcibly hammer the bejesus out of it. When pin finally moved I could see what the issue was. Instead of grease to lubricate the hinge, whatever was in there had the consistency of glue.

Went back and found some other review with same issue. One pointed out in the very last bit of description it says the damping oil makes it very hard to remove pin and to find a different product if you want pin out. I agree with other review, this should be made plain in title, not burried in description. The normal installation method is to remove the pin, so one would assume it's meant to be taken out.

This has been working flawlessly. Materials feel premium, the finish looks clean, and performance has been stable and quiet.

The pins don’t come out, rendering your door hanging experience much more difficult and frustrating. Buy the other ones at almost the same price point.

The basically have sticky glue and very difficult to get in our out without WD-40. Bent one trying to get pin out.

Photo attached show the mess the box was in when I opened it. Also had 3 missing hinges and screws.

My son can do it with a lot of effort but I am not able to get the pins out of these. I use a punch and a hammer, a nail and a hammer, another hinge pin and a hammer and cannot budge at all. I tried screwing it to a piece of wood for leverage - still can't budge it. So if you are very strong maybe it will work for you but I had to buy different ones. I have changed hardware on a few doors before and have never had this problem. I can't rate it above one star if I can't use it.
